Kerrville Pet Boarding
We know that it can be upsetting to have to board your pets away from home and want you to feel comfortable in choosing us as your pet sitter. Come meet our kennel staff in person and have a look at our boarding accommodations. Kennel tours are available at any time!
Our kennel staff takes great pride in providing the best possible care for your pet while away from home and they regularly monitor their attitude, appetite and bathroom habits.
If you ever get worried or just want to check-in while you are away, give us a call- we welcome the chance to give you a personal update.
If your pet should require medical attention during their stay, our staff of veterinarians and technicians are available to meet any need. In the event of an emergency, we would like to keep you informed. At boarding admission, please be sure to leave a contact number for yourself or of someone else that could authorize treatment for your pet in the event that you cannot be reached.
You are welcome to bring whatever comforts your pet would enjoy from home, but please label them with your pet's first and last name.
Boarding Information and Additional Services
Boarding reservations are highly recommended, as we cannot guarantee that space will be available without prior arrangement. Spring Break, Summer and holidays are especially popular times for Kerrville pet owners to board their pets with us.
We require all guests to be on flea control to prevent the spread of parasites to other boarders. Your pet will be examined upon arrival by our kennel caregivers and treated for any fleas or ticks found. These treatments will be added to your bill. Your pet's eyes, ears, skin, appetite and eliminations will be checked daily and any problems will be brought to the veterinarians' attention and treated accordingly. If it is time for your pet's yearly exam or another follow-up, these appointments can be scheduled with the doctor during your pet's stay as well.
Need grooming services? Bathing, nail trims or shavedown can be scheduled for the day of departure.
For the protection of your pet and other pets in our care, it is necessary that all animals coming to stay at Hoegemeyer Animal Clinic are current on all vaccinations. Please bring a Vaccination Certificate from your veterinarian or have it sent over to us before your arrival. Our fax telephone number is (830) 896-6787.
For the protection of your pet, NO animal can be boarded without proper verification of vaccinations.
DOGS: Must have current Rabies, Distemper, and Kennel Cough inoculations within one year.
CATS: Must be current on Rabies and FVRCPC vaccinations within the last year.
If your pet takes medication on a regular basis, please bring your medicine, clearly labeled with instructions. The technicians will administer medications at your direction. The fees for administering medications vary with quantity and frequency of administration.
Pet pick-up and drop-off are accommodated during regular weekday, Saturday, and Sunday business hours. At this time, boarding drop-off and/or pickup is not available on observed holidays. A deposit may be required for first-time boarders.
All dogs that stay with us are leash-walked twice daily outside, which is included in the daily boarding fee. We also provide additional requested services such as Extra Walks, Bathing, Nail Trims, and time in our playpen. Additional services are also available for cats. Your special requests are welcome! Please contact client services to arrange your boarding reservation or to inquire about our fees for boarding and supplemental services.
Our feline guests stay in an individual condo and come out to play in our indoor cat room twice a day. Our cat playroom offers climbing furniture, a play/scratch mat, toys, and a large window with a wide ledge for viewing birds and squirrels.
Why Should You Board Your Pets at an Animal Hospital?
All medications given to your pets are supervised by our trained veterinary hospital staff.
If an emergency ever does happen or a pet needs immediate medical care, our veterinarians and medical team are onsite for a quick response.
If your pet needs to update vaccinations before boarding, those can be done the day they arrive.
Your pet can also have a veterinary exam or other medical services needed performed during their stay.
